They only recently celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary.

And Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were the picture of marital bliss on Friday as they were seen leaving London's Bagatelle restaurant after a cosy dinner.

The 51-year-old director was effortlessly chic as she joined her 28-year-old actor husband for the outing, with both holding onto each other closely as they jumped into a waiting taxi.

The couple went for matching all-black looks as they were seen heading home after the evening out, with Sam going for a chic black dress teamed with nude strapped sandals.

Meanwhile Avengers star Aaron matched his wife with a black shirt and jeans combo, adding a cool twist to his look by rocking tinted sunglasses despite the nighttime setting.

Keeping an arm around his spouse upon leaving the eatery, Aaron couldn't stop beaming as Sam stayed close to him after the night out, before the pair were seen jumping into a taxi and heading home.

Aaron first met wife Sam in 2009 as she was the director of the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, in which he starred.

He, at the time, was 19, and she over twice his age at 42, but they proved love knows no age restriction as they got engaged that year and married in 2012 at Babington House in Somerset.

The lovebirds raise their two young children, seven-year-old Wylda Rae and five-year-old Romy, together at their glamorous home.

Sam is also mother to 20-year-old Angelica and 12-year-old Jessie from her first marriage to Jay Jopling.

The mother-of-four was married to the art dealer in 1997 but they decided to go their separate ways for good in 2008.

Sam moved on her heartache with Aaron and the filmmaker defiantly defended her choice to marry a man 23 years her senior in June 2017.

'If I gave a second thought to other people, I would be the unhappiest person, probably still in a miserable marriage,' she told The Hollywood Reporter.

'People like to talk about it. I'm like, "Yeah, but it works better than my last marriage". It's lasted longer than a lot of my friends' marriages.'
